Today, a hop, skip and a jump across Rock Creek Park from Georgetown, lies an unremarked constellation of Washington’s greatest power players ever, living in the Gilded Age mansions of the equally historic Washington, DC neighborhood of Kalorama. But before we begin talking about what I call the Kalorama Set, the devious group that secretly runs Washington D.C., it's best that we talk about their predecessors, the Georgetown Set.
The Georgetown Set
The Georgetown Set was an aristocratic neighborhood clique which formed to stop the Russians during the Cold War decades following World War II.
Gathered in the gilded confines of historic Georgetown, they were the heads of the media, CIA, and State Department with a president-to-be and a supreme court justice added in for good measure.
Their waspy cocktail parties served as a stage to solve the world’s problems with Henry Kissinger once saying:
“the hand that mixes the Georgetown martini is time and again the hand that guides the destiny of the western world.”
Shrouded in secrecy, the Georgetown Set was arguably responsible for the tough Cold War mindset of the American public, the creation of the CIA and its myriad covert operations, the addition of Lyndon Johnson to the Kennedy ticket and the escalation of the war in Vietnam.
Select members also served as confidants for John Kennedy during the dark hours of the Cuban Missile Crisis and questions abound to this day whether evil elements of the Georgetown Set played a role in his death.
The Kalorama Set
Ostensibly led by former U.S. President, Barack Obama, who never severed his Washington ties, former Secretary of State, First Lady and democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton1 and a host of world luminaries, this most elite of neighborhoods in the world makes one wonder:
Has the Kalorama Set eclipsed the ghosts of Georgetown’s past?
Because unlike Georgetown, this set probably directs the destiny of the western world, rather than guides it by mixing martinis, for this set is run by world leaders and not journalists and bureaucrats.
And unlike Georgetown, this set does not host Sunday suppers, nor does it always reside in this shining city upon a hill looming over the Biden White House, because threats by proxy from this set can be just as effective, for perception is reality in the high school world of Washington.
And where the Georgetown Set boasted a president-to-be, the Kalorama Set boasts the only able-bodied president to never leave DC2 in the 235-year history of the American presidency.
Shrouded in secrecy, questions abound for the Kalorama Set.
Does it control the Biden White House? Does it control the Executive Branch?
For why did President Biden ignore his 50-year record as a moderate to govern from the left? Why did Biden open the southern border? Why does Biden call America a racist nation? Why was Hamas greatest benefactor, Qatar, designated a “major non-NATO ally” by Biden?
And why did Biden block Secret Service protection from his old friend Robert Kennedy, Jr.?
And why does he limit Secret Service protection for Trump?
Moreover, how much of the Fortune 500 and corporate media does the Kalorama Set control?
Why is Google censoriously hard left?
Why did Delta reverse course to condemn the 2021 Georgia voting law, why does it sit on Biden’s AI Safety Board and why does it reportedly fly illegal migrants around the country?
Why is ESPN insufferably political and why did they let the Biden White House staff script his interview with Sage Steele?
And why the leftist face plant for The Washington Post? Now dead in its own darkness, far deader than its liberal counterparts, Jeff Bezos destroyed the house that Kay and Phil Graham once built across the creek and up the hill from him.
Finally, why have Fortune 500 CEOs foregone Trump since 2016? Is he that bad for Wall Street?
Or could it be the CEOs of the Fortune 500 fear Barack Obama’s Fixer like no one else in US history?
Obama’s Fixer Jim Messina
Shrouded in secrecy is Kalorama original, Jim Messina, who co-chaired Obama’s Kalorama estate, which was acquired from Clinton White House Press Secretary, Joe Lockhart, who himself bought it in 2009.3
If you advertise yourself as the ‘Fixer’ for a president who never left Washington, does that mean your clients – more than three hundred unknown Fortune 500 CEOs and world leaders – fear you?
Fixers fix situations via threat and Jim Messina excelled at that in 2008 as chief of staff for U.S. Senator Max Baucus (D-MT), Chair of the Finance Committee, which has jurisdiction over corporate taxes and holds the fortunes of the Fortune 500 in its hands.
The hallway outside their hearing room was dubbed Gucci Gulch for this reason.
Jim – also a campaign manager which is common for Washington - was already feared on Capitol Hill for having destroyed a republican for looking gay in Max Baucus’s 2002 Montana senate race, airing this campaign ad non-stop for five days causing the republican to drop out of the race.
Messina would leave Baucus and the Senate Finance Committee for Obama to become ‘The Obama White House’s Fixer’ where he even oversaw the ‘Obama White House’s interaction with Secret Service’ meeting with them daily to coordinate activities.
*During these Obama White House years, the writer – then a ‘Rockefeller Foundation’ lobbyist - fell prey to an extortion campaign run by the Obama White House Office of Public Engagement involving colleagues and friends of Messina.
Jim Messina and Google CEO, Eric Schmidt
Messina coincidentally resigned from the White House on the same day Eric Schmidt resigned as Google CEO (January 20, 2011) coincidentally while Google was falling under a Federal Trade Commission (FTC) investigation.
Messina left the White House to lead Obama’s re-election campaign where Eric Schmidt joined him to serve as his ‘mentor’ while building Messina a state-of-the-art voter database with engineers he brought over from Google.4
Three weeks after Obama won his 2012 re-election, Messina and Schmidt visited the White House on the same day and a month later the FTC dropped its investigation of Google against the advice of its staff.5
Two months after that, Jim opened The Messina Group in a dumpy building in downtown DC with Google as a first client, Obama in office another four years and the reputation for being Washington’s most feared insider, the nation’s top corporate fundraiser and owner of the nation’s most technologically advanced voter database.
Eight years later in May of 2021, Eric Schmidt was the featured cover image for The Messina Group website until Fox News ran a story with the subtitle ‘Google is doing everything it can to spy on everyone it can.’ Schmidt’s image then became President Obama hugging Messina which remains to this day.
Jim Messina and US Ambassador to China, Max Baucus
After The Messina Group opened in 2013, Politico outed Messina for secretly jockeying with Vice President Joe Biden to appoint his old boss, Max Baucus, as Ambassador to China with Baucus declaring at his senate confirmation hearing, “I'm no real expert on China”.
After the senate confirmed Baucus, Hunter Biden wrote to a business colleague regarding America’s new Ambassador to China:
“On Baucus- we have a very, very good relationship and I can ask anything we need.”
Jim Messina and ‘The Cover’
Jim Messina’s deep relationship with Max Baucus began in the 90s when Jim worked as a Labor LA (legislative assistant) in his Senate office.
Back then, Jim took the greatest pride in ‘The Cover’ claiming he could have saved Nixon from Watergate, curbing his voice from potential recording devices and saving the career of his best friend, Scott Olsen, after he was caught non-stop prank calling Senator Jesse Helms’s (R-NC) office to call him a ‘fag’ during senate reauthorization of the Ryan White Aids Act in mid 90s.
Scott forgot that his name would pop up on the opposing phone screen when he made the interoffice senate prank calls and Helms’s receptionist called him out on it.
After Scott watched Helms cross the senate floor to speak with Baucus for the first time ever in their years in the senate, he confided to Messina, who directed Scott to adamantly deny he did it for Jim knew Baucus would fire Scott if he told the truth.
When Baucus returned to the office, he interrogated Scott who adamantly denied he did it. Baucus became angry, lecturing Scott about Watergate but Scott held strong saving his job.
Per Messina, he and Scott, who then became one of PhRMA’s top lobbyists, used this story to impress interns while Jim was in the Obama White House.
Today Messina keeps a much better ‘cover.’
For example, last year a Bloomberg headline read: First Republic Taps Messina Group for Advice on Biden Dealings.
The Silicon Valley bank was struggling and five days later JP Morgan bought it with President Biden proclaiming the deal ‘safe and sound’ for the banking system.
Did Jim Messina - the ‘world’s most successful corporate advisor’ – provide ‘advice’ for JP Morgan’s acquisition of First Republic or did he just phone Biden for the ok?
If it’s the latter, then that’s lobbying and neither Jim Messina nor his firm, The Messina Group, have ever registered to lobby, unlike the writer.
When you register as a lobbyist, your clients are published.
Messina keeps his cover and avoids the lobbyist scarlet letter by providing ‘strategy’, ‘advice’ and ‘lobbying guidance’ to his 300+ unknown ‘Fortune 500 CEO and world leader’ clients because Jim knows, like every Washingtonian, that the lobbying laws here are toothless.
Leg Breaker lobbyists singularly and silently rack up CEOs as clients with the political consulting contract usually tucked in the CEO, government affairs or communications section of the budget.
Leg Breakers are hired foremost because CEOS fear them.
With Messina known as the ‘Fixer’ as well as the ‘Enforcer’ for a president who stayed in Washington, his Fortune 500 CEO clients will do what it takes to stay out of his crosshairs and implement Jim’s Marxist agenda while paying him the big money.
Otherwise, it’s goodbye career.
Messina also keeps cover by occasionally appearing in public as ‘Obama’s 2012 campaign manager,’ reinforcing his image as the ‘Karl Rove of the left,’ which is partly accurate.
Both Messina and Rove served as White House deputy chief of staff, both ran presidential campaigns, both ‘advise’ the ginormous corporate fundraising operations for their respective parties, and both make appearances together.
But because George Bush left Washington, DC like every other president in history – besides an incapacitated Woodrow Wilson – Rove lost his fear factor as Bush’s fixer.
We used to gossip about the ‘Mark of Rove’ in Washington and, like many Americans, the writer breathed a huge sigh of relief when Bush moved back to Texas and Rove was de-clawed.
But no one ever talks about the ‘Mark of Messina’ and no one asks why Obama is still in Washington – his youngest daughter left for college in 2019.
Sweet Home Chicago Kalorama
Jim Messina posted the sale of his DC estate, which he secretly purchased, one day after the Obamas announced the purchase of their Kalorama estate, up the hill from the White House and down the hill from the Vice Presidential Mansion off Embassy Row.
This was in June 2017 when Messina also closed what was apparently a second, secret DC office in a gorgeously tailored five-star office building at the corner of 15th and M Streets in downtown Washington to ‘publicly’ move to San Francisco.
When Washington power resides in its neighborhoods, rather than its intended institutions, our nation becomes uniquely vulnerable to foreign spying and questions abound for the Kalorama Set and Jim Messina, if he set up the neighborhood he once knew by the back of his hand.
For instance, why does Google Maps NOT label the corner building at Kalorama Rd. and Connecticut Avenue?

The former Chinese embassy circled here, dwarfs the other buildings in Kalorama and unlike the other embassy/commercial buildings there, it has neither signs nor markings on it. Two driveways wind out of sight into its back. Opaque windows shroud inhabitants.
Rumored to have been renovated behind a wall during the ambassadorship of Max Baucus, it reportedly houses Chinese diplomats.
Would the CCP spy on us in our own back yard? What is the vantage point from its roof towering above Kalorama? How advanced is CCP technological surveillance? How many other buildings in Kalorama are occupied by the CCP? Can they map out a who’s who of unelected, unappointed decision makers to further spy upon?
Moreover, has this mysterious building been used for secret meetings? Have Max Baucus, Jim Messina, Hunter Biden and/or Kamala Harris’s own, Debbie Mesloh,7 been inside?
Does China’s President Xi know more about the going’s on in Kalorama than President Biden?
One could ask the same question of the emirs of the Middle East.
From the Mass Ave (Embassy Row) side of the Kalorama-Sheridan historic district, you must drive past the Islamic Center of Washington DC to reach the Obama’s security check point.
Call the writer Islamophobic but who owns this building?
Qatar? Iran?
Do they occupy other buildings in Kalorama? Could they be monitoring Obama’s visitors these past seven and a half years? Are they in on any of the fun?
Kalorama, a neighborhood of embassies, Fortune 500 barons, media chieftains, high-end fundraisers, lobbyists and the like has, of course, always been a target for spying. It was also home for Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner during Donald Trump’s four years as president, but they left the day he left, had the White House grounds for security clearance meetings and never held the reins of the presidency.
So, questions abound.
Is Kalorama the spy capital of the world since everyone thinks the real president is Barack Obama?
Be that answer yes or no, it is time to expose secret power once and for all for America has never had technological mass surveillance, technological mass censorship nor the terrifying prospect of AI before.
And America has never had the Kalorama Set before.
Messy Questions for Jim Messina
Jim Messina does advertise a handful of his several hundred clients – e.g. CEOs for Google, Delta, ESPN, and Airbnb.
In terms of Google, extremely serious, profound questions abound for its anti-white rollout of AI was deeply disturbing but not surprising if Messina directed it. Knowing Jim, AI will get far worse.
Biden recently formed an AI Safety Board viewed as CEO and tech heavy and which included two known Messina clients – the CEOs for Google and Delta.
How many of the other 20 members of this board are secret clients of Messina?
The governor of Maryland? The mayor of Seattle? Every other CEO?!
And why have xAI and Elon Musk been excluded?
The hands that guide - or direct - the destiny of the western world must be the hands of Washington’s elected, not Jim Messina.
As a former democrat, Washington lobbyist and close friend of Jim Messina, the writer beseeches Congress to investigate Jim Messina after the election season has ended.

He once lived on Kalorama Road with ‘Obama’s Fixer To-Be’, Jim Messina, three blocks from the then Chinese Embassy. The two were close until Kelly warned Messina to avoid his political consulting firm, Tonio Burgos & Assoc., where Kelly served as a senior vice president, when Messina served as chief of staff for Senate Finance Committee Chair, Max Baucus (D-MT).

Clinton’s home is technically outside Kalorama, across Embassy Row and about ¼ mile from the Obamas
Woodrow Wilson, incapacitated by a stroke, also remained in DC dying three years after his term ended; Taft, after winning just 23% of the national vote in his 1912 reelection loss, left DC for Yale. He returned 8 years later to serve as Supreme Court Chief Justice. Other presidents lived in Kalorama (Harding, Hoover, FDR) prior to their presidencies like Kennedy did in Georgetown. None could be accused of retaining power after their presidencies.
Tax filings reported to reference Messina as co-chair of the Obama’s Kalorama estate. Messina lived with the writer just east of the Kalorama neighborhood line 20+ years ago. The two were close until 08.
Though Schmidt endorsed Obama as Google’s CEO shortly before election day in 2008, his professional effort to re-elect Obama in 2012 was far different since the Obama White House held Google in its jaws.
Though the address and precise map location of the Obama’s Kalorama estate have been previously published, they will not be for this article. ‘The Residence of the French Ambassador’ is the large building west of the CCP corner building. Its label appears on the following + frame. A label for the CCP corner building does not appear in any Google map rendering.
In addition to Mesloh being “a friend, staffer and adviser for Kamala Harris” for more than 20 years per the San Francisco Chronicle, she also worked in the Obama White House, traveling to China with the President and later representing Gap China. The writer was set up on a blind date with her in Kalorama during the Obama Administration.
